The Institution is primarily meant for the Catholics, established by the Catholic Church and run on the Church’s behalf by the Archdiocese of Guwahati, having its headquarters at Guwahati, but is open to all, irrespective of religion, caste or community, provided they pledge themselves to abide by the rules and regulations of the school. Choosing a school for your child is a serious undertaking. You are most welcome to take time out to visit our school, meet our administrators and understand the particular ethos of Don Bosco, Hojai.
Founded by priests of then Tezpur Diocese, (Now administered by the Archdiocese of Guwahati) our school carries almost 50 years of pedagogic history. Over the half century, this Institution has groomed pupils to become good citizens and valued members of society who will make a positive difference and have become healthy contributors of growth. The educational system of DBHS, Hojai rests on inculcating sound moral values in a liberal and pluralistic atmosphere.
Our school offers excellent academic instruction; our Board exam results are with 100% pass results and our students perform well in competitive exams. Students periodically crack state ranks and add pride and honour to the Institution. We strongly believe that a good education must give equal importance to co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Every academic subject has a Club/Committee to explore the subject in-depth in a small group, and students can choose which club to join. We have annual festivals on science and technology and our students take part without fail in the Annual Science Congress.
